Elektro3 reinforces occupational safety: Our staff updates their training in Basic Life Support and AED use

At Elektro3, the health and safety of our team are a fundamental priority. In line with our commitment to maintaining a cardioprotected work environment, where we have long had an automated external defibrillator (AED) installed in our offices, a portion of our staff has recently updated their training in Basic Life Support (BLS).

A solid theoretical foundation for informed action

The objective of the session was to consolidate response capacity in the event of a cardiorespiratory arrest while awaiting emergency medical services (112). The team worked on key concepts such as the chain of survival, the importance of high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), legal aspects, and action algorithms validated by the European Resuscitation Council.

From theory to practice: Real simulations

Understanding protocols is only the first step; true effectiveness lies in practice. Employees participated in integrated simulations to re-familiarize themselves with our AED and consolidate critical skills:

  • Initial assessment: Evaluate scene safety, patient consciousness, and breathing.

  • Airway management: Effective opening using the head-tilt/chin-lift maneuver.

  • Resuscitation (CPR): Performance of chest compressions and rescue breaths, alternating them at the appropriate rhythm.

  • AED management: Familiarization with the device, accurate pad placement, and safe shock delivery.

  • Recovery position: Placing the patient once breathing has stabilized.

With this skills update, at Elektro3 we reaffirm our culture of prevention. We ensure that our staff is prepared and confident to save lives in those moments where every second counts.
